Washington, D.C. May 29, 2018 – Strategic Cyber Ventures (SCV), the industry’s first cybersecurity-focused venture capital firm, today proudly announced Simone Petrella as the second member of their advisory board. Simone is currently the Chief Cyberstrategy Officer at CyberVista and is responsible for developing, communicating, and executing strategic initiatives. She also leads product development and delivery of cybersecurity training and education curriculums as well as workforce initiatives for executives, cyber practitioners, and continuing education. With over a decade of experience in the cybersecurity industry, both government and commercial, she will advise SCV and its portfolio members on their strategic workforce initiatives.

Previously, Simone led Booz Allen Hamilton’s all-source cyber threat intelligence business within the Defense Intelligence Agency and later, in the commercial sector, helped financial and retail clients design and build cyber fusion centers.
Simone graduated with honors from Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law and is barred in New York. She also attended Georgetown University graduating with both a BA in Government and an MA in International Law and Policy.
