Hank Thomas is a Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Strategic Cyber Ventures LLC, (SCV). Hank leverages his nearly 20 years of experience in business, consulting, and the military intelligence and cybersecurity community to identify differentiated business and technology teams positioned to revolutionize the cybersecurity landscape.
Before forming SCV, Hank served an 11-year tenure as an executive at Booz Allen Hamilton—a global strategy, technology, and consulting firm—leading a business focused on military grade cybersecurity, incident response, information fusion, threat intelligence center design, and development and operations in the commercial space. Hank also served as Director of Operations for the Booz Allen Cyber4Sight™, a multi-capability, analyst and technology driven, global-cyberthreat intelligence team. His client base included financial services, retail, global manufacturing, automotive, healthcare, energy, and oil and gas clients.
Before diving into commercial cybersecurity services, Hank took a niche, 4-person, cyber-intelligence and security consulting team at Booz Allen, and grew it into a 100+ person worldwide effort. This team supported U.S. intelligence, counterintelligence, and cyber community clients with sophisticated cyberthreat products and services. His business included a variety of service offerings acclaimed for being highly differentiated in the marketplace.
Hank was commissioned through ROTC as an active duty Officer in the U.S. Army immediately upon graduation from Northwestern State University with a B.A. in political science. Selected for the Military Intelligence Corps, Hank served as an Intelligence Officer for eight years in a variety of tactical, operational, and strategic assignments. Hank spent much of his military career focused on cyber, signals intelligence, information operations, and military intelligence planning, gathering, and analysis. His assignments included the National Security Agency (NSA), Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment, and the 509th Parachute Infantry Regiment.
